Grief Is Not an Illness
Our culture teaches us to accelerate through pain. Move on. It is over. But our Mexica ancestors had a profoundly different understanding.
In the Nahuatl worldview, death was not the end but the necessary counterpart of life. Funeral rites were not optional — they were the responsibility of those who remained.
Grief is not an illness to be cured. It is love with nowhere to go. Our work is to create that place.
If you are grieving, you are not broken. You are loving someone who is no longer here.
