FloreSer Los Cabos

A facilitator plays a singing bowl beside people resting on the sand during a nighttime sound bath beneath a starry sky.

Sound Healing

🕯️ We open a ceremonial space to hear the body and settle the heart.

1 / 6

Sounds that return silence to the heart.

The medicine of wind becomes vibration in bowls, drum, and song; it gathers us to return to harmony among breath, body, and heart. Without forcing any process, we open a threshold of listening where each person may return to their own center.

We invite you to enter the Sound Healing circle with a willingness to listen and be accompanied by the shared pulse. Receive sound as an offering of presence: ceremonial time to rest, breathe, and honor what asks to be heard today.

Resolving Inquiries

Is sound healing scientifically based?

Yes. A study published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine (2016) with 62 adults documented significant reductions in tension, anxiety, fatigue, depression, and anger after singing bowl sessions — with stronger effects in those new to the practice. The WHO recognizes music therapy as a valid therapeutic complement. It does not cure diseases, but the effects on the nervous system are well-documented.

What is the difference between Tibetan and quartz bowls?

Tibetan (Himalayan) bowls are metal alloy and produce warm, complex tones with multiple harmonics. Crystal quartz bowls produce purer, more penetrating tones that resonate directly with the nervous system. Gongs produce larger, more enveloping waves of sound. In our sessions we combine Tibetan and quartz bowls for an integral effect — none is universally better, they create different textures of experience.

What will I feel? Do I have to do anything?

Just receive. You lie on a mat with a blanket and closed eyes while the facilitator works. Most people enter a deep state between sleep and wakefulness. It is common to feel warmth, tingling, tears of relief, imagery, or an inner silence you have not experienced in a long time. Some people feel briefly restless in their first session — this is normal as the nervous system adjusts.

How long is the session and what does it include?

The session lasts from 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the number of participants and the rhythm the group needs. It includes a moment for preparation and intention, sound immersion while lying down, a quiet integration close, and the accompaniment of Tibetan and quartz bowls, bells, and aromatic plants.

Are there any contraindications?

People with sound-sensitive epilepsy, cochlear implants, or severe sound sensitivity should check with a doctor first. Gongs and large bowls produce very powerful vibrations. Those in acute mental health crises or early trauma recovery should speak with their therapist first, as the session can surface unexpected emotional material.

Will I be sober and conscious during the ceremony?

Yes. This ceremony is held to be experienced with presence and clarity; psychedelics and intoxicating substances are not used before, during, or after the ceremony. Before confirming, we explain each element so you can arrive feeling at ease.
